Soler: "We have to win the next two LaLiga games to stay in the fight"
Carlos Soler reflected on the 1-1 draw on LaLiga Matchday 31 in a post-match interview with VCF Media.
A draw that was insufficient
It was vital because we were very close to seventh place, which is a spot that takes you into Europe. The 0-1 scoreline was very good for us and we could have been able to make it 0-2, above all with the chance that Racic had, and also some counterattacks. Then they equalised and we dropped back a little; instead of going for the win, we tried not to lose. We have to change that mentality. It's also tough because the opposition pushed up and they had chances. It's a draw that is worth little to us. Now we have focus on Osasuna, then Villarreal and then the cup. We have to win the next two LaLiga games to stay in the fight.

Difficult opposition
"I don't want to say that after they made it 1-1 our mentality was not to lose the game, but seeing the approaches and the balls from space from which we created danger, and the free kicks and corners that were very close, we should have gone for the second. With the score at 0-1 we pushed and they were struggling, but we couldn't make it 0-2. We leave here with a draw that is painful.

Upcoming matches
There are two games left before the Copa del Rey final and we have to get six points from them. It's what we have to do to stay near to the European spots -especially to that seventh place that we have close to us.
