Special Ninot handed over to Terrassa FC
The 'Sempre Falles' initiative to help local artists is usually run at Mestalla, but as the Copa del Rey game against Terrassa FC on Wednesday night was played over a single leg, the club decided to provide a special Christmas gift for their lower league opponents at the Estadi Olimpic.
A Ninot figurine created by artist Miguel March was handed over to the Catalonian club before kick-off by Valencia CF Executive Director Joey Lim, in a meeting with Terrassa FC CEO Jordi Cuesta i Blas.
The Ninot shows a child playing with a ball on a football pitch wearing a mix of strips, combining the Valencia CF and Terrassa FC kits to represent unity between the two sets of fans.
The design was brought to life with advanced technology such as 3D printing and Co2 laser cutting, adding a modern twist to the tradition of Falles artistry.
The initiative run by the club and the Ayuntamiento city council aims to support Valencian society on a health, economic and social level.
