The run-in for fourth place after Matchday 36
Valencia CF moved above Sevilla FC into fifth place in LaLiga Santander on Matchday 36, thanks to their 2-6 win over SD Huesca and their rivals' suprise defeat at the hands of Leganés. They remain in contention for fourth place, currently occupied by Getafe -who won against Girona this past weekend.
The triumph for VCF was the fifth time that they have scored 6 goals in a Primera División game, and the second under Marcelino: He also led a 3-6 triumph against Real Betis last season, in one of the club's highest scoring games in top flight history.
