Traditional floral offering takes place in Valencia
This Tuesday, Valencia CF performed the club's traditional floral offering at the Real Basílica de Nuestra Señora de los Desamparados.
The traditional event came on the eve of the Trofeo Naranja game against AC Milan, which takes place on Wednesday night. The presentation of flowers to the statue of the Virgin Mary -the patron saint of Valencia- has become a yearly event to bring the team luck and support.
The event was attended by Valencia CF president, Anil Murthy, executive director, Joey Lim, coach José Bordalás, and three of the club captains: José Luis Gayà, Jaume Domènech and Gabriel Paulista, in addition to ambassador Miguel Ángel Bossio.
The new Valencia CF chaplain, Mr. Álvaro Almenar, oversaw the floral offering.
