Training and positive news for VCF squad on Monday
The Valencia CF squad made it three consecutive days of training on Monday, and were spurred on by news that LaLiga may return in just over a month's time.
"I'd like for us to start on June 12th, but nobody knows if we will be able to. We have to be prudent. It doesn't depend on football; it depends on Spanish society. We need to keep very focused and comply with the healthcare regulations. The risk present during a game is going to be zero or practically zero," said LaLiga president Javier Tebas on ‘El Partidazo’ on Spanish television channel Movistar.
The players were put through their paces in running exercises, drills and ball work, and captain Dani Parejo commented afterwards that "We have to take things graudally and be very responsible, but we have the utmost excitement and we feel very good."
Rodrigo added that "If sport is making progress, then it's because society is also doing so. We've returned to work smiling. We know that it's a small step, but we're very happy to be advancing."
Valencia CF president Anil Murthy attended the session and, respecting social distancing and the protocols established by the authorities, spoke to the players.
