Spain aim to top Group A at U-21 EUROs
Cristhian Mosquera, César Tárrega, Javi Guerra and Diego López target victory against Italy
Mestalla Stadium will once again host the traditional Trofeu Taronja this summer after a year's break due to the pandemic. At the event, one of the most important of each summer, Valencia CF will face a historic and prestigious international rival, AC Milan.
The match against the Italian team will take place on Wednesday 4th August at 8:30pm and will allow the team to continue preparing for the beginning of the official competition and to experience a great evening in a demanding competitive test for our players, coached by José Bordalás. AC Milan are one of the most attractive rivals at the moment and their trophy cabinet boasts a total of seven Champions League titles, which together with eighteen Serie A titles, five Coppa Italia, three Intercontinental Cups, one FIFA Club World Cup and seven Supercoppa titles make them one of the most successful clubs on the continent.
It will not be the first time that Valencia CF and AC Milan face each other in the Trofeu Taronja, as the two teams met in the 43rd edition of the Trofeu Taronja, held in 2014, which was won by Valencia CF by 2 goals to 1.
