Juan Mata and César Tárrega, the most recent scorers in this prestigious international tournament
The 'Sempre Falles' initiative continues this Tuesday, on the occasion of Valencia CF's LaLiga Matchday 15 game against Sevilla FC. The club will hand over the latest 'Ninot' figurine to representatives of the away team, as part of the collaboration with the Ayuntamiento city council.
Previous recipients of commemorative Ninots this season are SD Huesca, Real Betis, Getafe CF, Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid, Athletic Club and Terrassa FC.
The latest figurine is the work of artists José Manuel Feliu Samper and Fátima Garaballú Sánchez, from Alicante.
Titled ‘Hermanamiento’ ('Twinning'), it features two monuments emblematic in their respective cities: The Torres de Serrano towers from Valencia and the Giralda de Sevilla. The Ninots wear clothing characteristic of both Valencia and Seville, with the 'fallerita' outfit for the home side and a flamenco dancer for the visitors, plus the respective team kits.
The 'Sempre Falles' initiative is part of the 'Sempre Valencia' campaign run by the club alongside the Ayuntamiento, which has the objective of helping Valencian society from a health, economic and social perspective.
