Valencia CF and Cruz Roja work together to promote inclusivity and education in values
Valencia CF, together with the VCF Foundation, is once again supporting the work of the Valencia Red Cross with the donation of the net proceeds from the charity auction of the Valencia CF players' shirts from the match against RCD Espanyol (€4,000), an auction carried out with MatchWornShirt.
Specifically, the donation will be destined to the Cruz Roja Valencia's migrant project. In this way, the organization and the Club join hands again to promote integration and education in values and to combat racism.
Inma Ibáñez, director of the VCF Foundation, and Miguel Ángel Bossio, social ambassador of Valencia CF, welcomed José Enrique Lechiguero, secretary of the Valencia Red Cross, who thanked Valencia CF for the help it has historically given to Cruz Roja España, a help that "at this time comes in handy because the migratory crisis is evident".
"We are going to allocate the money," stressed the secretary, "to improve the lives of all the migrants we have now in the city of Valencia and try to make their integration and social inclusion as smooth and friendly as possible.
"Both entities are very much connected historically. We have a common goal: to try to make a little difference in society, working together," concluded José Enrique Lechiguero.
