Valencia CF, VCF Foundation and VCF Academy back AECC Valencia campaign against cancer
Valencia CF are once again collaborating with the Asociación Española Contra El Cáncer, on the traditional fundraising day for cancer research.
Valencia CF, the VCF Foundation and the VCF Academy set up three tables this year; one at the Mestalla VIP Box and, for the first time, two at the Ciudad Deportiva, with the aim of involving as many people as possible.
Anil Murthy, president of Valencia CF; Teo Swee Wei, director general of the VCF Foundation; and Dr. Antonio Llombart, vice president of the AECC, were all present, as were club ambassadors, Ricardo Arias, Miguel Ángel Bossio and Miguel Tendillo; head of Oncology at the IMED, Dr. Pablo Soler, head of Oncology at the IVO, Dr. Vicente Guillem, head of Oncology at the Hospital General, Dr. Carlos Camps, and Vicente de Juan, economic director of the Incliva Health Research Institute, of which the VCF Foundation is an Honourary Ambassador.

The president of the VCF Footballers Association, Fernando Giner; and VCF Inclusivo coach Fran Borcha and players Eduardo Gómez and Álvaro Reyes, also visited the tables.
"Today, we once again join the AECC on such an important day, in which we are also joined, for the first time, by the heads of Oncology from renowned Valencian hospitals," said Teo Swee Wei.
"With this collaboration, we want to involve Valencian society, whether connected to football or not, supporters of Valencia CF or not, both young and old."
"We wish and hope that many people will join in with the initiative, today and always," he concluded.
