Valencia CF vs. FC Barcelona a 'Villa derby'

Valencia CF will host FC Barcelona on Matchday 17 of the LaLiga season. More than 70 players have turned out for both throughout history, the most famous of which is David Villa.
Villa is the fifth top scorer in the history of Valencia CF with 129 goals in 225 games (166 in LaLiga, 17 in the Copa del Rey, 40 in Europe and 2 in the Spanish Supercopa.)
In the 5 seasons in which he was at the club, he equaled the record of 28 goals in a single season for Valencia CF, set by Mario Kempes and Pedja Mijatovic. In addition, he won the Copa del Rey in 2008.
He went on to play for FC Barcelona, joining them in 2010. His goal tally for the Catalan side was 48 from 119 official appearances.
Since retirement, Villa has returned to Mestalla on several occasions, including last season's fixture between the two clubs.
