Valencia CF will compete again in the prestigious 'JSSL 7s Singapore International Soccer' Tournament
Valencia CF will be one of the participants in the prestigious 'JSSL 7s Singapore International Soccer' Football 7 Tournament which will take place from April 19 to 21, 2019 and which, year after year, is growing at all levels.
Along with Valencia CF, Arsenal FC, Fulham of England, Atlético de Madrid, Johor Darul Ta'zim of Malaysia, JSSL FC of Singapore, Perth Glory of Australia and Urawa Red Diamonds from Japan have also confirmed their presence at the moment.
Valencia CF will be also represented by the women’s team, which will compete along with Atlético de Madrid, FC Barcelona, and the local JSSL FC of Singapore.
In the last edition of 2017 a golden goal by Urawa Red Diamonds prevented the youth players of the VCF Academy from competing in the final in a very evenly matched game that was decided in the extra time and in the first offensive action of the 3x3 of the Japanese club.
Captained by coach Javi Sanchis, the squad was formed by goalkeepers Carlos Pérez and Juanvi Muñoz, and players Rubén Iranzo, Jesús Vázquez, Israel Ull, David Ruiz, Darío Serra, Iker Gallardo, Álex Olmedo, Hugo González, Andrés García and Jesús Díaz.
At the end of the 2018 competition, the president of Valencia CF, Anil Murthy, declared that "the event left a very good impression on our coaches and players. The competition was intense and we hope to return to Singapore to connect again with our Singaporeans. "
A few days ago, the first data of this new edition of the Tournament 'JSSL 7s Singapore International Soccer' of 2019 was given as guest of honor to Andy Cole, former Manchester United international, Jean Ng, Sports Director of the Singapore Tourism Board; Adrián Vázquez, representative of LaLiga in Singapore and Gavin Lee, general manager of the championship.
