Valencia CF will pay homage to David Silva
Valencia CF will pay homage to David Silva during the Valencia CF-FC Barcelona matchday 17 of LaLiga EA Sports 23-24 this coming Saturday, 16 December at 9 pm a Mestalla, as announced by Valencia CF president Layhoon Chan at the General Shareholders' Meeting on Thursday.
Among the events planned, the Club will set up a banner outside Mestalla alongside those of the other legends and will take an honourary kick-off before the match.
The 'magician' from Arguineguín arrived at the VCF Academy at U14 level A young Silva was brimming with with magic at the Ciutat Esportiva de Paterna. The small midfielder grew up until he arrived at VCF Mestalla and showed his tremendous quality on the pitch.

After two loan spells with SD Eibar and another with Celta Vigo, Silva returned to VCF Mestalla in 2006, eager to make a name for himself in the squad. Quique Sánchez Flores gave him the opportunity and he took it up.
The Canary Islander was one of the important pillars of that season, in which he scored 11 goals. Three seasons later, a Copa del Rey trophy (2008), 167 official appearances, 38 goals and 38 assists, in 2010 Silva left Valencia Club de Fútbol as a legend of the Club.

Undoubtedly, this coming 16 December 2023 will be a very special day for the player and the Valencia CF fanbase.
