The design, by Fenwick Iribarren Architects, follows the principles of ‘green architecture’
The VCF Footballers Association celebrated its traditional mass for the dead at the Basilica de la Mare de Deu this year. Amongst those remembered were Alberto Arnal Andrés, Cipriano González ”Ñito”, Ángel Abelardo, Cirilo Amorós and Arturo Salvador Vendrell.
Joey Lim, executive director of Valencia CF, and Teo Swee Wei, director general of the VCF Foundation, attended the event.
At the mass were the president of the VCF Footballers Association, Fernando Giner, Ricardo Arias, Vicente Guillot, Miguel Tendillo, Pep Claramunt, Miguel Ángel Bossio, Juan Catafau, Luis Pascual, Pepe Serer and Paco Reig, who delivered the bouquet to the Mare de Déu.
Giner explained that "we are proud to dedicate a day to remember all of those who are no longer with us, and all the Valencianistas who left us in this year marked by the pandemic."
