Voro: "We have to keep competing well until the final minute of the season"

Ahead of the final game of the season, away to relegation strugglers SD Huesca, Valencia CF caretaker coach Voro González gave his pre-match press conference this Friday.
A very important match
"We are facing the game like any other this season. We have three points at stake. For Huesca it is a vital game, and for us it also means climbing positions in the table. Our work during the week hasn't changed. This is another week with a very important game. We have to continue on the same path to compete well."
Competing to the end
"Our numbers away from home have not been good, but we hope to win tomorrow. It's not about getting two wins in a row, or winning away from home. We are working to compete, to take the three points and finish as high as possible in the table. If it allows us to achieve other things, then fine, but our goal is to continue growing and compete as professionals until the last minute of the season."
The squad list
"Everybody is available except Cristian Rivero, who still has some ankle problems, and Jason, who has a swollen ankle as well. Patrick Cutrone's absence is a tactical decision."
Assessing the season
"Overall, the season has been very bad. It has been a very difficult campaign. We needed to beat Real Valladolid to give ourselves freedom, and from there grow as a team. We have settled down more and more every day. We have conceded two goals since then, and been able to interpret games well. We are happy with the performance that the players have provided in these 20 days in charge. The team have been committed and continue to be so."
Providing normality
"I try to provide a sense of normality. For me, this situation is one of responsibility. I assume the responsibility if I can help. I hope this situation will not happen anymore, because that would mean that things are working well. I am somebody for whom suffering is just the way I am, because of what was at stake against Real Valladolid, with our players feeling nervous. From Sunday I will return to my normal role, which has no coaching aspect. If the club ask me about something specific, I will give my opinion."
A committed dressing room
"The dressing room atmosphere is essential. This year has not been bad in that respect. We are satisfied with how it has ended. The young players and veterans in our squad have connected very well, regardless of their individual roles and the fact that everyone wants to play."
