Ricardo Arias: “Playing the first match at Mestalla is a big boost - we have to take advantage of it”
The Valencia CF legend and Club ambassador reacts to the LALIGA EA SPORTS 2025/26 fixture list on L’Informatiu on VCF Media Radio.
Valencia CF have been drawn against Atletico Baleares in the Round of 16 of the Copa del Rey, and VCF Media caught up with midfielder Daniel Wass to get his views on the fixture.
"Atletico Baleares will be difficult opponents, especially now that only a few teams remain. They are going to give us a very difficult game. They beat Celta Vigo, who are another LaLiga side," said the Dane of a side who have eliminated two top flight sides already in this season's competition.
Such upsets mean that the team are taking the contest very seriously, looking to avoid the fate that befell Getafe and Celta Vigo against the islanders.
"They are going to make it a tough game, because they have a lot of motivation to win against us. We are also going there with a lot of desire to get the victory there," warned Wass.
A previous winner of the cup competition, Wass has his sights set on more silverware with Valencia CF this season.
"I want to win another Copa del Rey. It was beautiful to win it in 2019, and I want to do it again."
