Valencia CF goes eight games unbeaten
A positive run of form marked by the ‘Mestalla factor’ and the team’s great effort and hard work
Valencia CF Executive Director, Joey Lim, presented Yeclano Deportivo with a special Copa del Rey Ninot as part of the 'Sempre Falles' initiative run by the club, before their game on Thursday night.
Whilst the figurines are traditionally given to the visiting side in home games at Mestalla, for the cup competition -held over a single leg- the club have decided to extend the protocol to away fixtures against lower league sides. A Ninot was previously presented to Terrassa CF.
Accepting the gift on behalf of Yeclano Deportivo was president Pedro Romero, along with Yecla Mayor, Marcos Ortuño. Alongside them were two players from each club on the pitch at the La Constitución ground, which was inaugurated back in 1944 with a visit from Valencia CF.
The Sempre Falles initiative, created by Valencia CF and the Ayuntamiento city council as part of the 'Sempre Valencia' campaign, gives Falles artists the chance to showcase their work during a time of difficulty. The latest design was created and elaborated by José Luis Platero from Valencia.
