Sergi Canós shared his thoughts in his post-match interview following the 0-1 home defeat to Deportivo Alavés on Matchday 34 of LaLiga EA Sports at Mestalla.
Two key moves
I think it was a game in which we fought and worked hard. There were two very strange actions. One that is not a corner, which was very clear. The other leaves us with the same feeling with which we left Montjuic last week. We are quite upset.
Different criteria
I hope that whoever has to look at it can see why we always end up hindered. I don't really understand the regulations or who makes the decisions. It's very weird. The referee told us that if it is not offside it is a foul. But, if it's not offside, you have to go and look at the foul. We have had the same thing all year.
A missed opportunity
Today we missed an opportunity, but this team have always picked ourselves. When things have gone wrong for us, I think we have got back. We're going to do that again. We believe that we are not dead yet. We are angry, but we are going to try to use that anger to be able to do well against Rayo.
The support of the fans
Today Mestalla was full again. It's amazing. It's thanks to them that we are where we are. We are going to continue working and we are going to put in a big effort. More games and more opportunities are coming.
