Valencia CF bowed out of the Copa del Rey with a 0-5 defeat to FC Barcelona in the quarter-final, held at Mestalla.
The visitors quickly took the lead thanks to Ferran Torres, who went on to score a hat-trick, and Fermín López, taking the scoreline to 0-4 at halftime.
After the break, Valencia CF tried to close the gap. Umar Sadiq managed to beat opposition goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny, but his goal was disallowed for offside.
Lamine Yamal would increase the advantage for FC Barcelona with a goal in the 59th minute.
During the closing stretch, Iván Jaime -who joined the squad in the winter transfer window, made his debut.
Focus now turns to LaLiga, where the team will seek to return to winning ways on Sunday (4:15pm) against CD Leganés.
