Valencia CF's Umar Sadiq and Diego López are among the nominees for LALIGA's monthly awards due to their outstanding performances during the month of March.
Sadiq is nominated for Best Player and Best Goal. He scored three times in March (twice against CA Osasuna and once against Real Valladolid CF). His strike in the meeting with Real Valladolid is in contention for Best Goal. The Valencia CF striker is currently away with Nigeria for the upcoming international fixtures.
In the voting for Best Player, he competes with Kylian Mbappé (Real Madrid CF), Isco Alarcón (Real Betis), Marcos Alonso (RC Celta de Vigo), and Pedro Díaz (Rayo Vallecano); for Best Goal, he is up against Andrei Ratiu (Rayo Vallecano) and Diego García (CD Leganés). Both voting periods close on Sunday, March 23rd, at 11:59 p.m..
Diego López has three goals (against CA Osasuna, Real Valladolid and Girona CF) in March, and received a call-up for the Spain Under-21s.
His rivals for Best Under-23s Player are Pedri (FC Barcelona), Jesús Rodríguez (Real Betis), Giuliano Simeone (Atlético de Madrid) and Nico Williams (Athletic Club).
