López: "we won through heart"
The forward talks after scoring his latest goal
Diego López rounded off a spectacular March in which he scored four goals for Valencia CF and was named the best Under-23s player in LaLiga for the month. The Asturian scored again in the victory against RCD Mallorca and expressed his satisfaction with the win after the match.
A very important victory
These are three vital points, especially because of the other results that happened on this matchday, because they helped us pull away. Winning at home was fundamental. RCD Mallorca are a very aggressive and intense team, who make it difficult for us to play. The game wasn't our best of the season, but when things don't come about from how you play, they have to come from your heart, because of all the fans who came to cheer us on and helped us get the three points at home against very tough opponents.
The team's reaction
Since the start of the year with the new coach, we've taken a step forward in terms of our football and our results, which is what matters. It was about getting as many points as possible and moving away from the relegation zone, and we're achieving that. Now we have a very difficult away game against Real Madrid, and we want to continue our momentum, even though we know it will be tough at the Bernabéu.
His 4 goals in March
I'm very happy with the goals, because it's been a very good month, with me scoring in every game for Valencia CF. I'm very happy to be helping the team with goals that will help us get important points -and get away from the bottom.
The family celebration
It's the last goal to be celebrated at the 'El Descanso' bar run by my parents, because they're leaving there. What better way to close out a chapter than by scoring a goal and enjoying their last day?
