VCF Academy shines at LaLiga FC Futures

VCF Alevín A closed out an excellent tournament by securing third place after defeating Real Madrid CF in the third-place match.

The team delivered a strong performance throughout the weekend at LaLiga FC Futures, coming very close to reaching the final once again and showcasing the competitive level of Valencia’s youth academy.

With this result, Valencia CF continues to establish itself among the best teams in the category. This marks the third time in the last four years that the VCF Academy has reached the semifinals—finishing as runner-up in 2022, champions in 2024, and now third in 2025.

A SOLID TEAM

The team, once again led this year by Nacho Tarín, delivered a fantastic tournament performance, finishing the group stage undefeated with three wins (Getafe CF 3-0, UD Las Palmas 2-0, and RCD Mallorca 1-0) and a draw (Atlético Madrid 1-1), conceding just one goal in the process.

They defeated FC Barcelona (3-1) in a thrilling quarterfinal, narrowly lost to Sevilla FC in the semifinals (2-1), and then clinched third place by beating Real Madrid CF in a penalty shootout.

The Valencian side has proven to be a solid, well-organized team with a strong defense and plenty of attacking threat, with goals shared between Leo Pastor, Luca Sánchez, Daniil Gordienko, Juan Crespín, and Ferran Colomer.

Beyond their sporting performance, the team’s behavior has also been exemplary both on and off the pitch, following the philosophy of the VCF Academy: Sentiment, Valentia i Germanor—their rallying cry before every match.
