Guerra: "We're happy to have made the fans happy"
The midfielder reviews the Matchday 13 win
Javi Guerra spoke to VCF Media after a vital victory for Valencia CF in the derby against Levante UD.
A hard-fought victory
I think the team had a good game. We hadn't won in a while, especially in the derby, which is a very important fixture here. I think the team deserved it; they had a great game, and we got our reward.
I think we played well. I think the scoreline could have been even greater, because we had several chances that were cleared near the line. Overall, it was a very complete performance from the team, and we're happy with the victory.
Winning the derby
You could feel the atmosphere, right from the moment we went out to warm up. We know the fans really get behind us, and on top of that, it's a derby. I'm happy to give the fans this win, because I think they deserve it. Now we hope this starts a good run of form so we can keep moving up the table.
Recovery
We had a rough patch, but now it seems we're on the right track. We'll try to extend it as long as possible and find a good feeling, which I think we have now. We'll keep going and try to pick up more points, which is the objective, to place as high as possible.
Hugo Duro's amazing goal
He looked happy when he was celebrating, and again at the end of the match. We know that Hugo is capable of the best and the worst finishes. But when he's in the box, he's a striker with an eye for goal, and you can't predict what he's going to do.
