Pepelu, the derby’s most well-rounded player

He led the match in distance covered, ball recoveries, and forward-passing accuracy

Valencia CF secured the win in the derby against Levante UD after a great deal of effort and intensity. Another standout performer in the match was Pepelu, who excelled in numerous defensive and offensive aspects. Physically, he stood out as the player who covered the most distance in the game, with more than 10 km (10,890 m). 

In terms of overall technical–tactical contribution, he was the third player with the most offensive involvement (73 actions), behind Tárrega (78) and Javi Guerra (78).

On the other hand, regarding the technical–tactical variable focused on the defensive side, Pepelu made the most recoveries (8) and was the team’s second-best player in terms of disrupting opposition attacks, tied with Gayà (3) and behind Thierry and Copete (4).

Lastly, he also stood out in the offensive technical–tactical area. The Valencia midfielder was the player with the highest success rate in forward passes (87% — 40 out of 46), in addition to recording a 92% accuracy in total passes (from buildup to progression) and a 94% success rate in short-to-medium passes.
