Pepelu: "The team need to take another step forward, and we will do that"

The midfielder gives his assessment of the draw with Rayo Vallecano

Pepelu chatted to VCF Media after the Matchday 14 draw at Vallecas. 

The draw

“We wanted the win, but we have to be self-critical. We weren't as good as we wanted to be in the first half. Away from home, we need to take a step forward. In the second half, the team reacted and showed the identity we need to have both at Mestalla and away. The draw is quite a fair result. The team need to take another step forward, and we will do that.”

“When the team go after the opposition, have the ball and attack, it makes the difference. This is the path the coach insists we follow, and we have to do it both at Mestalla and away from home. It's what we want, and it will come.”
