Valencia CF captain José Luis Gayà analysed the loss to Real Madrid following the final whistle
Disappointment with the result
We failed to capitalise on our chances, and we had several of them throughout the match. They were more clinical with their opportunities and were better than us in that regard.
In the second half we struggled a bit more to get forward than in the first, where we were running more into open spaces. That's pretty much the story of the match.
The difficulty of the game
They have top-quality players. So, if it's not one of them who hurts you, it tends to be another, and that's how it was today.
From one move, a slight deflection got them ahead. Honestly, it gave them confidence, and it hurt us.
Fighting until the end
We will never give up. We will fight until the end and we will always look at what is ahead.
