MATCH REPORT | Valencia CF earn 0-2 derby victory over Levante UD  

Ramazani and Sadiq score the goals to claim all three points

Valencia CF won their LaLiga EA Sports Matchday 24 derby against Levante UD at the Ciutat de València, as Largie Ramazani and Umar Sadiq struck in the second half to give the team a 0-2 triumph.

They started out with great intensity and came very close to scoring the first goal of the game after a counter-attack initiated by Ramazani and finished by Beltrán. It was ultimately disallowed for offside.

Valencia CF dominated and combined well in their passing, and from one of those well-worked moves, Hugo Duro struck with an effort that went wide. At the other end, Stole Dimitrievski made a great save from Iván Romero's header in the box, although the Levante striker was in an illegal position in any case.

During the following minutes, there was great intensity and balance between both teams as they battled for possession and an increase in chances.

SECOND HALF

After the break, Levante UD created several opportunities on goal, but their shots failed to find the target. Carlos Corberán reacted and brought on Javi Guerra, Sadiq, and Guido Rodriguez.

After the hour, Valencia CF took the lead with a fantastic goal from Ramazani. Javi Guerra started the counter-attack, moved upfield, and passed to an unmarked Sadiq, who backheeled to Rioja. The winger then laid a pass off to Ramazani, who controlled and unleashed a superb left-footed smash to make it 0-1.

In the 84th minute, Sadiq doubled the lead, finishing a one-on-one with goalkeeper Mathew Ryan.

Before the end, Eray Cömert was substituted for Jesús Vázquez, and Baptiste Santamaría also came on.

In the 94th minute, Levante's Arriaga was sent off for a second yellow card, just before the final whistle.

Valencia CF’s 0-2 win made it  the first time that they had achieved a home and away LaLiga double against Levante UD in a single season, and lifted them further clear of the drop zone.

The team now have a regional derby against Villarreal CF, visiting the Estadio de la Cerámica on Sunday at 9pm.
