“The sooner you reach those 42 points, the better in order to be calm and clear that doubt. I don’t see Valencia CF finishing the last match suffering and with the mathematics that could relegate them. It has been an irregular season, but there have been moments when they were looking upwards. Now you face teams that are playing for a lot, but I think Valencia CF will get those points and will soon be calm and able to think about next season.”
Upcoming match against Athletic Club at San Mamés
“This match is tough, but Valencia CF have also played great games here at San Mamés. Athletic seems to have turned things around, but they have also had an irregular season; anything can happen. Historically, Valencia CF have played great matches at San Mamés. They have been games full of emotion, goals… and those situations can happen again. They will come with the ambition to take the three points.”
Julen Agirrezabala
“Injuries are part of a footballer’s life. When they happen, they are unfortunate, but all you can do is accept it and recover fully to think about the return. Injury always appears at the most inopportune moment.”
Unai Núñez
“He is from the academy and has had good seasons here. He is a great centre-back and the loan at Valencia CF will give him experience.”
