Harvey Elliott, a role model for young Inspiresport players from the United Kingdom

The looks of amazement on the youngest participants’ faces said it all. Children and young people from different parts of the United Kingdom had just completed an unforgettable Training Experience at Valencia CF’s Ciutat Esportiva. To round off the experience, they met Harvey Elliott, who greeted each child, took photos with them, signed their certificates and shared insights into his own experience.

“I hope you really enjoy football, work hard and never lose your passion for the game. I hope you enjoy your time in Spain and learn from the excellent coaches you have here. And who knows, perhaps one day you’ll be playing alongside us in professional football,” the English Valencia CF player told them.

Drawing on his own development journey, Elliott offered advice to the young players, having become the youngest player ever to make his Premier League debut at just 16 years old.

As part of their football development journey, the young players travelled to Valencia with Inspiresport UK from Sir Henry Floyd School, Lochinver House School and Sherborne School in England, as well as Banchory CFC in Scotland. They enjoyed a comprehensive training experience led by coaches from the Valencia CF Academy, an internationally recognised benchmark in developing players capable of competing at the highest level.

The partnership between Valencia CF and Inspiresport spans more than 20 years, during which over 20,000 players from the UK, Ireland and the USA have visited the Ciutat Esportiva to gain a deeper understanding of the VCF Academy’s training methodology. Last year, 35 clubs and academies took part in this outstanding experience in Valencia.

The in-person training experiences at Valencia CF’s Ciutat Esportiva are part of the VCF Academy Programs, which help expand the Club’s brand presence across strategic markets in the Americas, Europe, Asia and Oceania.

The Training Experiences, VCF Academies, VCF Camps, VCF Academy Coaches Convention and VCF Academy World Cup are just some of the activities that make up these VCF Academy Programs, which attract more than 5,000 players from over 50 countries every season.
