Guido: "The team give our all, but games are slipping away from us"

Guido Rodríguez gave an assessment of the defeat at the hands of Villarreal CF, in a post-match interview.

Being disappointed

We are very angry. This is a result we shouldn’t have let slip away, especially given how well things were going for us. These mistakes we’re making are things we need to work on improving.

Analysing the situation

We certainly give our all, but there are many things we need to improve. Above all, we need to win games. We have to win at home, in front of our fans; we need to bring some joy to them, and to ourselves as well. The team put in the effort, but the results have been slipping away due to small details.

Needing a win

Obviously, a victory would give us the boost we need to keep going and get onto the right track -something we’ve been struggling to achieve.

A busy week ahead

Given our current situation, every game is important. First there's the Copa del Rey, which we must treat with the seriousness it deserves and win. Then there's the LaLiga match, which we also need to win to take all 3 points, as that is what we require.
