The Puma Welcome Academy shouts out loud: Amunt València!!!
The 200 boys and girls of the 15 Under-12 teams of the VCF Academy enjoyed a great welcome party at the Ciudad Deportiva of Valencia CF.
“We educate people, we train footballers” is the motto of the VCF Academy which is at the heart of the Ciutat Esportiva in each and every action being carried out both on and off the pitch.
The firm bet on studies and academic education is one of the hallmarks at the VCF Academy and from last season, the #AcademiaEn Comunidad project sees several VCF Academy sides get involved in social actions in collaboration with the VCF Foundation.
The #AcademiaEnComunidad project has been selected by the ECA (European Club Association). The award ceremony is being held by the European Club Association every season.
The VCF Academy initiative is amongst the four finalists for ECA Youth Football Awards. Sporting Club Portugal, Aberdeen FC and PFC Ludogorets are also amongst the nomenees from all of the submitted projects.
The award winners will be announced at the ECA General Assembly which will be held on the 6th and 7th of September.
This first campaign of the #AcademiaEnComunidad project has consisted of a wide range of social actions like the visit to the Society Animal and Plant Protection of Valencia, the collaboration with Banco de Alimentos food bank at the great food drive and foodstuff delivery at Mestalla, the A-Ball wheelchair football training session by the VCF Footballers’ Association, the online talks deep into the pandemic with long-standing supporters, the toy collection at Christmas “Score a goal against poverty" or the drum and cornet get-together of La Coma are the several social actions of the project.
With these actions from #AcademiaEnComunidad, the VCF Academy wants the different sides to get closer to other realities beyond football for the players to be conscious of the necessity to collaborate as well as raising awareness about other groups and associations we are collaborating with.
