Fresh from signing a 4-year contract with Valencia CF, Jasper Cillessen spoke to VCF MEDIA on Wednesday to express his happiness with his arrival at the club, accompanied by president Anil Murthy.
“It’s incredible. It’s very special for me and I can’t wait to get started. I’m very happy,” said Cillessen, who acknowledged that he did not have to think twice about the move.
“I said straight away that I wanted to go to Valencia CF. It wasn’t difficult for me. I spoke with Hedwiges Maduro and Ronald Koeman, but not to see whether it was a good option or not, but rather to find out more about the club.”
The Dutch international is very excited about the challenge that lies ahead for him, saying “Valencia CF are a special club, a great club with a great history. It was easy for me to make the decision to come here, I'm looking forward to getting started and to winning things here. Today is a very special day for me.”
