The Nou Mestalla completes the installation of the compression ring and the 50 pillars that will support the large roof
In addition, the radial cables that will support the roof itself are currently being installed
This phase, initially planned for late May, has been brought forward by more than a month
FCC Construcción, the company responsible for completing the Nou Mestalla, has already begun interior architecture work on the site where the new Valencia CF stadium will rise by the summer of 2027.
Thanks to steady progress, this phase—originally scheduled for late May—has been accelerated by more than a month. This advancement is the result of efficient execution and optimized processes in the early weeks, ensuring a smooth transition to the next stages of the project.
Since work resumed on January 10, the initial focus has been on preparing the site, updating safety and health measures, and carrying out structural repairs. These essential steps have paved the way for continuous progress in the stadium’s construction.
During the first two months, tasks completed include: replacing safety railings, installing collective protection nets and erecting scaffolding on the 10 structural cores that support all floors of the stadium.
Engineers are conducting weekly analysis and testing to assess and recalculate structural resistance, checking for leaks, cracks, or rust. Results so far confirm the structure is in good condition.
Additionally, the following structural repairs have been made: reinforcement of metallic corbels connecting pillars with basement ramps, repair of cracks in walls, demolition of vertical concrete block walls in Basement 1 to adapt the architecture to the new project plans.
Simultaneously, work continues on shot blasting and painting the metal structures of the vertical cores. The upcoming phases will focus on awarding contracts for the steel structure and stadium roof, beginning assembly in workshops and installing stair towers in the coming months.
These developments mark significant progress in bringing the Nou Mestalla project closer to reality.
