Gayà equals Angulo for LALIGA appearances with valencia cf

The club captain has made 313 appearances in the league

Valencia CF captain José Luis Gayà  reached 313 matches in LALIGA for the club, after featuring against CA Osasuna this past weekend. He moves level with Miguel Ángel Angulo as joint-fifth on the all-time appearance list. 

After becoming a cornerstone of VCF Mestalla, he made his first team debut on October 30th, 2012, in the Copa del Rey against UE Llagostera. 

His LALIGA debut was against Atletico Madrid on April 27th, 2014, at Mestalla. From there, Gayà became the second youngest player (28 years and 289 days) in club history to reach 350 official matches, behind Fernando Gómez Colomer (27 years and 239 days).


In terms of LALIGA appearances, Gayà now has Fernando Gómez Colomer (420), Ricardo Arias (377), David Albelda (351), and Manolo Mestre (323) in his sights.
