Iranzo: "I'm very happy about us going through, and with my goal"
The defender reviews the 0-2 win at El Plantio
Valencia CF defender Rubén Iranzo looked at the win against Burgos and his first goal for the club in conversation with VCF Media.
Victory and a first goal for Valencia CF
“I’m very happy about the team going and with my first goal for Valencia CF. So many things are going through my head now. I’ve been a Valencia CF fan since I was born, and today is a dream come true. I’m thinking of my girlfriend, my family, my friends… I’m not used to scoring many goals, so this one’s for them.”
His time in the VCF Academy
“I’ve been with the club for a long time and this goal is a dream come true. I really enjoyed it and hopefully there will be many more.”
The game
“We knew it was a tough stadium to come to and difficult opponents, but the team were very focused, kept a clean sheet and qualified for the quarterfinals, which was the primary objective. We know that anything can happen in a single match and we have to treat them all like finals to advance to the next round, and we achieved that.”
