Luis Rioja and David Rangel return to Vitoria
The Andalusian winger played five seasons with Deportivo Alavés and the current Valencia CF delegate played the 2011-12 season with the ‘Babazorros’
Valencia CF will play their next LALIGA EA SPORTS 25/26 match against Deportivo Alavés at the Mendizorroza Stadium, a fixture corresponding to Matchday 9. A special place for two members of the Valencia CF squad.
On one hand, Luis Rioja was part of the Basque side for five campaigns (2019-2020/2023-2024) and one LALIGA match in the 24/25 season, making a total of 189 appearances (138 in the First Division). He became one of the team’s captains and one of the most beloved players in Vitoria.
On the other hand, Rangel joined the ‘Glorioso’ in the 2011/12 season after his spell at CD Castellón. That season he played 36 matches in the former Segunda División ‘B’ and, once it ended, he signed for Ontinyent Club de Fútbol.
Finally, Valencian goalkeeper Antonio Sivera will face Valencia CF once again, the club where he came through the ranks.
