Mamardashvili, seventh place in the Yashin Trophy for Ballon d'Or 2024


Valencia CF goalkeeper in the ‘top 10’ of the best goalkeepers in the world.

Valencia CF goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili was ranked seventh in the Yashin Trophy at the Ballon d'Or 2024 gala.

The Georgian goalkeeper travelled to the Theatre du Chatelet in Paris as a nominee for best goalkeeper in the world for his great performances in the 23-24 season.

After the votes were cast and the results were announced, the top 10 is as follows: Emiliano Martínez (1st place), Unai Simón (2nd place), Andriy Lunin (3rd place), Gianluigi Donnarumma (4th place), Mike Maignan (5th place), Yan Sommer (6th place), Giorgi Mamardashvili (7th place), Diogo Costa (8th place), Ronwen Williams (9th place) and Gregor Kobel (10th place).
