Match Report: Valencia CF draw 0-0 with Levante UD

The squad continue preparations for the coming season
Valencia CF played out a 0-0 draw with Levante UD in their fifth friendly fixture of the summer.
The starting lineup was much changed from that which took to the field against PSV Eindhoven, as coach Rubén Baraja used players who had not featured heavily in the Netherlands the previous weekend.

Otorbi, André Almeida and Martín Tejón were amongst those attempting to break down an organised Levante UD in the first half, and just before the interval the opposition had their best chance: A free kick in towards the six-yard-box that was cleared by the defence.

After the break, Stole Dimitrievski made two good saves from Morales, whilst Baraja turned to the bench on the hour to bring in Rafa Mir, Pepelu, Hugo Duro and Sergi Canós, amongst others.

Lacking in opportunities, the game was more a test of fitness than finishing, and ended in a goalless stalemate. The players will look to build momentum on Saturday against Leeds United at Elland Road.
