Valencia CF reaffirms its commitment to the local community by supporting an initiative that helps guarantee access to food for vulnerable individuals and families
Mestalla Stadium hosted the 'No Home Without Food' charity campaign on Tuesday. Organised by the "la Caixa" Foundation and CaixaBank in collaboration with the Spanish Federation of Food Banks (FESBAL), the initiative aims to raise awareness and encourage public support for people and families in vulnerable situations.
Fundació VCF Director Inmaculada Ibáñez, Valencia CF Ambassador Ricardo Arias, CaixaBank Regional Director for the Valencian Community and the Region of Murcia Olga García, CaixaBank Head of Social Action for the Valencian Community Encarna Alcaide and "la Caixa" Foundation Regional Representative for the Valencian Community Soraya Casado visited the Food Bank distribution point located at Mestalla Stadium.
Since May 2020, Mestalla has served as a regular food distribution centre, becoming a key reference point for delivering essential food supplies to vulnerable families.
During the visit, the importance of initiatives such as this was highlighted in helping meet basic needs such as access to food and improving the quality of life of thousands of people. In Spain, nearly 10 million people are currently at risk of poverty, making access to adequate nutrition increasingly difficult.
Through Fundació VCF, Valencia CF remains firmly committed to supporting initiatives that generate a positive impact across the Valencian Community. The Club's ongoing collaboration with the Food Bank, including making Mestalla Stadium available as a food distribution centre for more than six years, reflects this commitment and supports organisations working every day to assist those most in need.
A nationwide campaign
The seventh edition of the 'No Home Without Food' campaign began on June 9 with the aim of raising funds to help guarantee access to food for people supported by Food Banks across Spain.
Since its launch in 2020, the initiative has raised more than €13 million, enabling the distribution of over 12,500 tonnes of essential food. In 2025 alone, the campaign raised almost €2.1 million, equivalent to nearly 1,400 tonnes of food, while donations in the Valencian Community exceeded €145,000.
These funds allow the 53 Food Banks that are members of FESBAL to continue their work alongside hundreds of social organisations, supporting thousands of people throughout Spain.
The importance of volunteers
Volunteers play a vital role in the success of the campaign. More than 3,300 volunteers across Spain help organise, prepare and distribute food, ensuring support reaches those who need it most.
How to contribute
The 'No Home Without Food' campaign remains open to donations. Support can be provided through:
Every donation helps provide access to food for thousands of families and strengthens a solidarity network that works every day to ensure no one is left behind.
