Valencia CF have reached an agreement to extend César Tárrega's contract for the next five seasons, through to June 2030.
The centre back had a season of consolidation in the elite in 2024/25, in which he demonstrated a high level of competitiveness, leadership, and constant development.
Tárrega reaffirms his commitment to the club, with the hope of continuing to proudly represent Valencia CF, where he has grown, taken the step up to professional football, and become, on his own merits, one of the team's Valencian cornerstones.
Last season he accumulated more than 3,000 minutes on the pitch in 34 LALIGA matches -all of them as a starter- and four more appearances in the Copa del Rey.
His defensive solidity, consistency, and maturity shown with Valencia CF have also been recognised at international level, with him being called up to the Spain U-21 national team and recently participating in the European Championship for that age group.
Trained at the VCF Academy, he made his first team debut against CD Utrillas in 2021 and has made significant progress since then, confirming his role as a player for the present and future at Valencia CF.
At 23 years of age, Tárrega’s contract extension marks another step forward to continue developing his potential under coach Carlos Corberán.
