The appointments of Lisandro Isei, Hans Gillhaus and Andrés Zamora Patacchiola will help prepare Valencia CF to respond to the challenges of the national and international transfer market.
Valencia CF announces the implementation of a new sports structure with the aim of driving sporting growth and improving competitiveness over the coming seasons.
With immediate effect, the Club, under the leadership of Ron Gourlay, CEO of Football, is incorporating three professionals whose experience, knowledge, contacts and expertise will strengthen the sporting planning of the 1st team and the VCF Academy.
These appointments will consolidate a modern, cohesive structure and will strengthen Valencia CF with a model that meets the organisational standards of the most competitive clubs in European football:
• Director of Recruitment and Scouting: Lisandro Isei. He previously served as Director of Scouting at Al-Ahli in the Saudi Pro League, where he worked alongside Ron Gourlay. Before joining the Club, he worked as the Head of Analytics & Technical Scouting for Charlotte FC in the US and as a scout for various European Clubs, including Willem II and FC Dordrecht.
• Lead scout for Europe: Hans Gillhaus. He has previously worked as a scout for PSV Eindhoven, where he won the European Cup as a player, also for Chelsea FC and Arsenal FC and as international scout for Atalanta BC. In addition, he has served as technical manager of Belgium’s Zulte Waregem and as coordinator of Sunderland FC’s European scouting network.
• Lead scout for South America: Andrés Zamora Patacchiola. He previously served as head scout at San Lorenzo de Almagro, South America scout for AVS Futebol (Portugal), and most recently as 1st Team scout for Olympique de Marseille.
The incorporation of these three profiles is fully aligned with the future vision of President Kiat Lim, reflects the Club’s commitment to preparing Valencia CF to respond to the challenges posed by the transfer market at both national and international level, and will combine data analysis with market-focused fieldwork.
