Rioja: "The win needs to give us confidence"

Luis Rioja spoke to VCF Media after his goal contributed to a 2-1 win over Celta Vigo in LaLiga.

“It is a very important victory, we needed it and it gives us the boost to continue pursuing our objective. It has to give us enough confidence to face the upcoming matches at Mestalla.”

“We knew that Celta Vigo had many mechanisms for bringing the ball out, that they are capable of keeping you in your own half for many minutes. We managed to fight back after the equaliser. The team showed our tenacity and courage to get the victory. We know how difficult it is to win in the Primera División and we know that we must put in at least what we put in today to be able to continue getting victories.”
