First statements from the new Valencia CF striker
The striker from Kaduna, Sadiq Umar, speaks to VCF Media after signing for Valencia CF until June 2028. In this interview, the Nigerian forward shows great excitement and eagerness to begin his second spell as a Valencia player.
Arrival at Valencia CF
“I’m very excited and happy. I’ve been waiting since last summer and, finally, I’m here. I’m the happiest guy in the world. I wanted to come back here; I’ve done everything possible. The Club has also made the greatest possible effort. I’m very happy to return. Valencia CF is one of the biggest clubs in Spain, and you can feel it in the culture and the people: they never abandon the Club.”
Return to the Valencia side
“One of the things that made me come back is ambition. Last season I saw how the fans demanded results, and that brought out the best in me. Even though I came for half a season, I knew this was the best place to be and to show what I can do.”
Carlos Corberán
“He arrived at a difficult time and found the solution for the team. We returned to the right position, and now that’s what he’s trying to do and what he can do. That’s why I’m here: to help the team and the Club take it to where it deserves to be. You can see the coach always wants more; he’s always hungry for more. That’s positive. All we need now are results.”
Nou Mestalla
“The team is trying. With the new project, the Nou Mestalla… before all that, we need to recover our sporting level. Everything has to go well on the pitch and Valencia CF will be back where it deserves to be. It’s a dream for anyone to play in this kind of stadium, especially for a great club like Valencia CF. We’re really looking forward to it.”
Thanks to the fans
“Thank you for your support, for the messages—at last I’m here. Your support means a lot to everyone. Amunt, Valencia CF.”
