The Generalitat Valenciana has carried out an official visit to the Nou Mestalla to gain a closer understanding of the project, particularly in terms of safety and health measures

Susana Camarero, First Vice President and Regional Minister for Housing, Employment, Youth and Equality: “We are very much looking forward to this stadium being completed on schedule and with all safety guarantees. It will be the stadium that the fans, the city, and the Valencian Community deserve.”

The Generalitat Valenciana carried out an institutional visit to the Nou Mestalla this Monday. A delegation from the regional government, led by Susana Camarero, First Vice President and Regional Minister for Housing, Employment, Youth and Equality, toured Valencia CF’s future stadium, which is set to usher in a new era for the club upon its planned inauguration in 2027.

The visit forms part of the Preventive Integrated Action Programme for Major Construction Projects (AIPOS), a technical support initiative from the Valencian Institute for Safety and Health at Work (INVASSAT). The programme aims to ensure the highest safety and occupational health standards—beyond legal requirements—in some of the most emblematic construction projects in the Valencian Community.

Valencia CF, led by CEO Javier Solís and accompanied by Christian Schneider, Director of Operations and Infrastructure, presented the project to representatives of the Generalitat Valenciana, together with officials from construction company FCC Construcción, which is responsible for completing the works.

After the presentation, a joint site visit took place at the stadium, attended not only by Susana Camarero but also by other regional government representatives, including Antonio Galvañ, Secretary for Employment, and María Lurueña, Director General of Labour and of INVASSAT.


After touring the Nou Mestalla, Susana Camarero highlighted the importance of coordination and joint work between the club, FCC Construcción, and the Generalitat Valenciana to ensure the highest safety and health standards in such a landmark project for the region.

“We have come to see the works, which are very advanced. For the Generalitat, which is responsible for occupational risk prevention, the most important thing is to ensure that all safety and health requirements are being met for a project of this scale. With INVASSAT there is perfect coordination, as we have seen today. INVASSAT and the construction company are working hand in hand not only to deliver the stadium this city deserves, but also to ensure that the workers involved in its construction have the safety they deserve.”

The First Vice President also noted the progress on site, particularly the roof structure, which she specifically highlighted ahead of what she described as the project entering its final year of construction this summer.

“We can see how the roof is rising, and we have asked about the occupational risks associated with this process. From the Generalitat Valenciana we are coordinating this work to ensure the project is completed on schedule and without incidents. We are all very much looking forward to this new stadium for Valencia CF, delivered on time and with full safety guarantees. It will be the stadium that the fans, the city of Valencia, and the entire region deserve.”
