Valencia CF and Valencia CF Femenino made their traditional visit this Friday to the patron saint of the city of Valencia.
In the week of the 54th Trofeu Taronja against Newcastle United FC, the men's and women's first-team squads made the traditional floral offering to Virgen de los Desamparados.
José Luis Gayà and Pauleta Sancho were entrusted with laying the flowers at the feet of Our Lady of the Forsaken during an emotional ceremony attended by Valencia CF President Kiat Lim, General Director Javier Solís and CEO of Football Ron Gourlay.
The Vice Rector of the Real Basílica de Nuestra Señora de los Desamparados de Valencia and Valencia CF chaplain, Álvaro Almenar, officiated the floral offering to mark the start of the 2026–27 season and wished both the men's and women's squads every success for the campaign ahead.
