VCF Alevín A were proclaimed champions of the XXXI National LaLiga FC Futures tournament on Sunday, coming out on top in the 20-team competition. The Valencia CF youth team beat Sevilla FC 3-0 in the final.
HUGE TOURNAMENT
The team, coached by Nacho Tarín, showed great competitiveness and talent throughout the entire tournament. They finished the group stage undefeated and without conceding a single goal, in matches against Deportivo Alavés (4-0), Cádiz CF (1-0), RCD Mallorca (1-0) and Real Madrid (0-0).
Defensive solidity was one of the keys for the seam, who also had Sergio Rodríguez named MVP of the tournament after his two goals in the final.
In the quarterfinals they eliminated Villarreal CF in a penalty shootout following a goalless draw, then in the semifinals bested Rayo Vallecano 3-2.

They took an early lead in the final and ended up dominating the match, winning 3-0 and again keeping a clean sheet.
The win was the first in the competition for the VCF Academy side since 2003.
