This Tuesday, August 25, Valencia CF and the VCF Foundation welcomed the NGO Manos en Acción to Mestalla Stadium during the Valencia CF–Real Betis match, making it the 91st organization to take part in the “ADN Mestalla Solidari” initiative.
The Club launched the initiative in the 2021–22 season to recognize, highlight, and raise awareness of the invaluable work carried out by Valencian associations, organizations, institutions, and NGOs, as well as organizations based in Valencia. Their work spans areas including society and volunteering, women and equality, science and medicine, children and young people, immigration and integration, health and the elderly, nature and sustainability, and culture.
With the 2026–27 season, “ADN Mestalla Solidari” will enter its sixth consecutive season at LaLiga matches at Mestalla Stadium. Valencia CF and the VCF Foundation welcome representatives of a selected organization to the Juan Sol Room, invite them to watch the match, present them with a personalized Valencia CF shirt, and announce the organization before kick-off, taking advantage of the presence of supporters in the stadium.
In the case of Manos en Acción, Josué Abimael Pena, a founding member of the Executive Council and treasurer, and Raquel Pena, who works in Marketing, Communications, and Volunteering, were welcomed by Inma Ibáñez, director of the VCF Foundation, and Miguel Tendillo, Valencia CF ambassador.
This NGO was legally established in December 2007, although its origins can be traced back to a missionary spirit that emerged spontaneously in February 2006. Twenty years ago, its founders already recognized the need to help. Through missionary departments and missionary trips organized by the Church, they sought ways to help children who were suffering and unable to improve their circumstances. Their support system for children is based on sponsorship programs and community dining centers, which provide them with a new opportunity to improve their lives, surroundings, abilities, and future.
