Autism action AT MESTALLA
Several initiatives will take place at Mestalla on Sunday
Valencia CF will carry out a special action during their match against RCD Mallorca on Sunday, with the aim of raising awareness about autism.
This initiative is part of the commemoration of World Autism Awareness Day, which is celebrated on April 2nd. Several children with autism will have the opportunity to take to the pitch at Mestalla before kickoff, accompanied by adults and assistance dogs, who play a vital role in their daily lives..
The club will also recognise the tireless work of two organisations dedicated to significantly improving the quality of life of children with autism and their families.
DogPoint, a non-profit organisation specializing in the training and monitoring of Service Dogs for Children with ASD (SCDs), select, educates, and introduce dogs into the family unit to ensure the child's safety, enhance their psychosocial development, and improve leisure time and quality of family life.
Elanco, a world-leading animal health company, have been working for 25 years to promote adoption, non-abandonment, responsible living, and support animal-assisted intervention programs for children with autism, people with varying degrees of disability, or seniors with Alzheimer's.
Valencia CF aim to offer awareness of this very special group and reaffirm the club's commitment to inclusion.
