Diego López: "I'm really happy with what we Valencia CF players are contributing to the Spanish national team"
The Valencia CF forward is through to the U21 EURO quarter-finals
Valencia CF’s Diego López featured on L’Informatiu on VCF Media Radio to talk about Spain U21’s performance at the 2025 UEFA European Under-21 Championship in Slovakia. The Asturian winger is one of the key players in Santi Denia’s squad.
Strong start to the U21 EURO
"All the matches have been tough, but we’ve come through them and finished top of the group. Now it’s time for the quarter-finals. The team is growing and we’re improving. We need to keep going in this direction."
Quarter-final opponents
"It’s clear that any opponent can make things difficult, so whoever it is, we’ll prepare properly and go for it. The most important thing is how we play. When we have the ball, we can cause real problems for any team."

Contribution from Valencia CF players
"I'm really happy for them — also for Mosquera, who was involved in César's goal and assisted Jauregizar's as well. I'm happy for all of us, for what we’re bringing to the team, and I hope it continues like this. It's always an honour to wear the Spain shirt, and what better way to end a tough season than by winning the EURO. The four of us have had a pretty good year, and we're carrying that form into the national team. I'm happy for the four of us, for continuing to contribute here too. Let’s keep going."
Support from the fans
"We always feel the support, and we're grateful for that. We really feel the fans close to us, and we hope they keep it up."

Best moment of his career
"In terms of performances and stats, I’d say it probably is. I'm in a really good place right now, but I’m an ambitious person and I always want more. I’m going to keep working for it."
