Divina Seguros joins Valencia CF and THE VCF's FOUNDATION ‘UNITS COM SEMPRE’ initiative to revitalize sports activities for children affected by the dANA storm
The insurance company has matched the highest contribution made to the campaign (€325,357), providing free private healthcare coverage for children in the football schools of the affected municipalities, and has created a free, in-person child psychological support service
Divina Seguros, the official insurer of Valencia CF, has joined the ‘UNITS COM SEMPRE’ solidarity initiative launched by the Club and the Fundació VCF. The initiative aims to accelerate the revitalization of sports and educational activities for children in the areas affected by the DANA on October 29.
The insurance company has made a financial contribution of €325,357 to the campaign, matching the largest donation made to date by the majority shareholder, Peter Lim, as well as the amount raised from ticket sales for Valencia CF's match against Real Betis.
The severe consequences of the DANA require sustained support over time. With the aim of providing children with the resources they need to return to normalcy, engage in physical, sports, and educational activities, and promote their physical and psychological well-being, Valencia CF and the Fundació VCF launched this initiative focused on football. As of today, it has received significant backing from Divina Seguros.
“We want sports to continue building society through its practice during childhood and youth. Sports foster physical and emotional development and promote values such as respect, empathy, discipline, and effort. That is why helping these children, whose lives have been disrupted by this natural disaster, to resume sports activities is not only a way to help them return to normalcy as soon as possible but also to keep building a sense of community at such a critical time,” emphasized Armando Nieto, president of Divina Seguros.
Valencia CF president Layhoon Chan stated that the Club is "deeply honored to collaborate with Divina Seguros, whose unwavering sense of solidarity stands out in these challenging times. Their significant contribution not only supports our efforts but also reflects their genuine commitment to the province of Valencia. Together, we are proud to make a meaningful impact through the ‘UNITS COM SEMPRE’ initiative.”
