Bright future ahead with busy opening to 2020

The Spanish Supercopa may have ended early for Valencia CF, but the squad will use the semifinal exit as motivation and the extra time to return to training from this Friday at the Ciudad Deportiva.
There are 10 days to go before the players will be back in action, refreshed and stronger than ever. Their next task is to take the three points against RCD Mallorca on their return to LaLiga competition, on Sunday, January 19th (12pm CET).
The second half of the LaLiga campaign features a series of tough games, including those against FC Barcelona and Atletico Madrid. They will also get their Copa del Rey defence underway from the Round of 32 onwards, starting at the end of the month, with the intention of going as far as possible once again.
Heading into February, the Champions League resumes with the Last 16 stage, which features Valencia CF against Atalanta BC. It will be the club's first involvement in the knockout phase of the competition in seven seasons.
Albert Celades' side have shown their ability to recover from setbacks in 2019/20. When they lost 5-2 to FC Barcelona, the response was a first ever victory at Stamford Bridge against Chelsea. After a 0-3 loss to Ajax at Mestalla, they quickly came back to beat Deportivo Alavés 2-1. The year starts with a steady run of games, and Valencia CF are ready for anything that 2020 has in store.
